Sundown half marathon Singapore
Submitted by Debs on 10. January 2012 - 15:18I have signed up for my first half marathon in May. This is a night race in Singapore. I mentioned this to a few people and they mentioned it was a hard race especially for a first run since its hot and humid. Can anyone shed light on your experience. I have only started running again after having my second baby two months ago so won't be much chance for me to train in hot conditions.
Comrades - training?
Submitted by LazyDays on 21. December 2011 - 10:49Hi,
for my sins I've entered Comrades this coming June.
Was wondering if anyone here has already done it and if so what your training plan looked like, i.e where to run in HK thats similar to what you found in SA, what kind of mileage you did and so on.. I have some basic training plans etc, just wondering if anyone could speak with the voice of experience?
cheers

First time marathon training long run question
Submitted by big_apple_ken on 13. October 2011 - 12:52For first time marathon runners how far should their long run max out at? Most people seem to suggest that you max out at about 32K (20mi) since the wear and tear would be too great if you ran 42K. Although I understand the reasoning wouldn't you be not as mentally prepared on race day if you had never attempted 42K before? Just curious.
