Seek Advice on Knee Pain

Dear All, I'm a new comer to this website. I'd like to seek your kind advice on my knee pain after running for ~ a year. Now, I'm suspecting my knee pain is due to Patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS). BTW, a friend of mine told me that this is a common symptoms for runners and Viartril-S could ease the pain. Is that true?

I just want to drop a short anectode on how much the heat can influence the runner's performance. Yesterday many suffered at the Chung Hing Cup, but remember that you were at 30C, 85% humidity. Anyway:

Left hip pain

Would appreciate for some advice in dealing with left hip discomfort. Have been running conistently for over 1 year:~50K per week. For past 3-4 months, have slowly increased weekly distance to ~70-75K per week without injury.
