National Games

Has anyone found the results page? It doesn't show up on English language search engines.
Has anyone seen the names of the HK track and field athletes? As usual, the HKAAA has kept them secret. I know Jessica Ching is not going.

Re: National Games

This seems to be the results website. Does anyone know how to make this into a tinyURL?

The athletics starts Saturday (Sept 2).

Re: National Games

Track has started. It seems one of our 3 women sprinters got through to the 100m final. Dinner break now, but racing resumes at 7PM.

Re: National Games W10,000

The women's 10,000 ended in a 3-way photo finish in 34:00. The HKAAA, of course, didn't send anyone.

Re: National Games WHJ

We almost scored a medal in the women's high jump. A creditable 1.84 left her equal with the bronze medalist but she ended up 5th on the countback.
This morning our female 200m runner got out of her heat, albeit with the slowest time of any qualifier. She beat 3 in the semis, but didn't go through. Our male 200 guy didn't get out of his heat.

Re: National Games LJ

Our long jumpers got wiped out pretty quickly. The two men jumped 7.53 and 7.16 in qualifying -- the last qualifier jumped 7.64. Our woman was last in the qualifying round, half a metre short of qualifying.

The men's 10,000 was won in 28:27 with the bronze medallist running 29:26. Of course, the HKAAA didn't send anyone.

Re: National Games final day

Our men came within 0.02 of making the 4x100 final, but the women weren't close.

Of the 42 starters in the men's 50K walk, only 20 finished.

So Hong Kong's best result was a 5th in the women's high jump.
