Bali marathon 2012

just returned from first Bali marathon organised for many many years . fully enjoyed the run although it was hot and hilly . not a race for PB but very nice route running mainly through villages and along rice paddys. very hot but sea breeze helped a bit . many supporters from schoolkids to villagers and also traditional music groups and costumes made it a carnival atmosphere . villagers were great at all ages even the elderly shoutrd out support , in english .

i stayed at a beach villa near to race start which was convenient and nice . my only comment is the start could be one hour earlier at 4 to avoid some of the sun . otherwise recommend for next year especially for anyone that enjoys running and taking photos .
