Bone spur on top of foot

On the top of my left foot I seem to have developed a bone outgrow (bone spur?). This is almost definitely caused by running with my Nike shoes which are on the tight side, the same spot on my right foot seems to be developing similar spur but smaller.

It does not cause much pain when running, but when stopped and sitting down with the same Nike shoes I could feel pulsating sharp pain.

Anybody experienced this before? is this a serious issue? I plan to go see a doctor soon.

In any case, go see your doctor if you experience "pulsating sharp pain".

Not really a bunion as described described by Mayo, as the bump is on the middle of my foot. In any case yes I should go see the doc.
