Veterans' World Championships
This indoor track meet has all the events including a heptathlon, plus a cross country and a half marathon outdoors. Lots of throws. All in 5-year age groups from 35. It will be in Finland April 3-8. We always compete, but medals are hard to get against the Europeans. We'll be reserving a hotel in the next couple of weeks, so even though it's in April, you'll have to risk some money now. Re: World Championship silver for HK
Our racewalkers took the W35 silver medal at the world championships for veterans in Finland. Estonia were too strong, but we were happy to beat Finland. We also got two 4th places.
Among HK Runners members, Fluffy had a couple of good runs in the 3000 and the 1500, but couldn't make the 1500 final in his M50 age group.
The next meet is in Taipei May 20. Entries are going in this week, so if you want to play, contact me right away.

Re: World Championship silver for HK
Once again Bill did a professional job in organizing the HK Vets team for the Finland world indoor champs. He personally walked me through the whole process before my race which helped a great deal. His wonderful wife Sheila was there taking everyone's times and spilts.
A big thanks to both Bill and Sheila.
Bill also put in a grand performance in his walks.
