Best Way to Recover?

I know that's no short-cut/secret for leg muscle recovery but simply rest, rest and rest...however as I am really running out of time, would still like to find out if there is any "Grand-mother Secret Remedy" to help speed up with muscle recovery from severe fatigue/tiredness? What about food remedy, anyone?
