Novice Runner Looking for Guidance

I'm new to running, learning to run 10km for an event in Vancouver but will be in HK for 6 weeks as of tomorrow. Wanted to go to clinics here for injury prevention and advice on gear (eg- the clinics here look at mold of foot & stride for recommended shoes) but is there anything like this in HK?

The running resources in North America are quite a bit richer than what you can find in HK. You will be better off getting some advice from good runners in North America.
