Let's wish good luck to Edward and Sylvia Tse, off to Japan this weekend to represent Hong Kong in the Asian Racewalking Championships. Both the men's and women's 20K records were set in this race in previous years. Let's hope they can improve them this weekend.

Meanwhile, Hong Kong racewalkers have been attracting attention in the USA. Last weekend, Jessica Ching won the US university championship over 3000m indoors, and Alex Lo was third in the same race. The three-time defending champion (an American) finished fourth. It was an exciting battle, and you can see a video on Flotrack at

Also last weekend, Sahn Hahng Tai Bo finished 4th in the 10K walk at the veterans' world championships in Canada. He was 6th in the 3000m (that one indoors) a few days earlier.
